Pet Puja

Mumbai runs on many things. Ambition, chaos, the occasional miracle. But for one man, it runs entirely on Vada Pav. Not as a preference. As a religion. Pet Puja is a silent animated short film about what happens when that devotion is tested by the arrival of something new, something unfamiliar, something dangerously tempting. Told entirely through movement, expression, and a series of very dramatic Bollywood-style musical numbers, the film treats its hero's internal crisis with complete and utter seriousness. Which is, of course, exactly why it is funny. In the tradition of classic Tex Avery and Chuck Jones, but rooted firmly in the streets of Mumbai and structured like a proper Bollywood masala film. No dialogue. No shortcuts. Just one man, one snack, and the most important decision of his life.
